My Practice
I offer psychoanalytic therapy, psychoanalysis, and psychiatric consultation for adults in San Francisco and throughout California.
People come to treatment for different reasons. Some feel caught in recurring difficulties in relationships, work, or their sense of themselves. Others are looking for a place to speak more freely and to understand patterns that may have remained unclear despite their efforts to change. Some are looking for psychotherapy or psychoanalytic treatment, while others seek psychiatric consultation that may include discussion of medication when appropriate.

Initial Consultation
Treatment begins with an initial consultation. This provides a chance to get a sense of what is bringing you in, what you are looking for, and whether working together seems like a good fit. From there, we can discuss possible recommendations, including the frequency of meetings and the form treatment might take.
Appointments
Appointments are available in person in San Francisco and, when appropriate, by telehealth throughout California.
Language
I work in English and Spanish.
Fees and Payment
My practice is self-pay. I am not in network with insurance plans, but I can provide a superbill or other documentation for possible out-of-network reimbursement when applicable.

Reaching out for help or seeking a therapist’s guidance can be a confusing, even daunting experience. Knowing what you are getting into and what to expect can alleviate a lot of that stress. Most of my patients have similar questions about the therapeutic process and what it all entails. Here are some of the questions and concerns that I often encounter:

I offer appointment times during the week, and availability can be discussed during the initial consultation.

My practice is self-pay. I am not in network with insurance plans. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill or other documentation for possible reimbursement. HSA and FSA payments may also be used when applicable. Please feel free to inquire about my current fee.

Payment is due at the time of the session. Once treatment has been established, payment arrangements may also be made on a monthly basis.
